Barca-Bertolla is one of many old villages in Turin, Italy. Once many inhabitants did the business of clothes washing, it was also remembered as the "laundry village". However, following a municipal ordinance of 1935, It prohibited people to wash clothes along the river. It becomes a post- village industrial landscape that old houses gradually replaced by new apartment buildings.

"Inter-weave" intends to demonstrate how by overcoming the rigid contraposition between conservation and development, the landscape project can constitute a valid instrument for generating new economies through changes in places and regions. By designing a series of bio-swales and productive gardens, it assures the conservation and the reproduction of goods and resources from an economic, environmental, natural and social point of view.

Barca-Bertolla　是在意大利都靈許多古老村莊之一。曾經有許多居民經營洗衣，它也被稱為“洗衣村”。但是，根據1935年的一項市政法令，該法令禁止人們沿河洗衣服。此後，這舊社區逐漸被新公寓取代，這成為了後農村工業景觀。
